Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby is a FREE program providing boys and girls age 14 and under the opportunity to showcase their hitting skills to swing their way to the title of Jr. Home Run Derby National Champion. The competition is open to all boys and girls age 14 and under. Boys and girls compete together against each other in one of two age groups (12U or 14U). A participant's age is determined as of July 17, 2018.
Winners of Local and Regional Competitions will ultimately compete at the National Finals during Major League Baseball All-Star Week.
Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run (PHR) is a FREE, 1-day event for boys and girls ages 7-14* that is simple to host. PHR is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. Competitors compete in four age groups: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14. Age is determined as of July 17, 2018.
We are hosting the Santa Monica MLB competitions during our Spring Break camps as an added bonus for more baseball fun!. You do NOT have to register for our camps to participate. This is a free event! At SMBA we offer the opportunity for all kids to participate in the competitions. During our camps we will be working on drills and exercises to help players with their hitting, pitching, base running to improve their game. If that is something you want to do with us, we are here to help with the UCLA Health Sports Performance coaches to help make you the best player you can be!

Santa Monica Baseball Academy is having a one day baseball session given by quality instructors for ALL LEVELS of baseball. Instructions will be given by professional baseball coaches. Players will practice pitching, catching, hitting, fielding and base running. This one day program is designed with a direct emphasis on learning the primary fundamentals that lay down the foundation for elite play in baseball. Campers will be grouped by age and ability.
